Madinah Group was established by (Late) Haji Muhammad Amin in the year 1946. After his death, his four sons, under the able guidance and dynamic leadership of the elder brother Haji Muhammad Saleem, worked relentlessly and jointly expanded and diversified the business. They ventured into the industrial sector and established Madinah Rice and oil Mills and later Madinah Ginning Factory. The Group kept on expanding, modernizing and diversifying at a steady pace. Three modern industrial units; Faisalabad Oil Refinery (Pvt) Ltd, Madinah Sugar Mills (Pvt) Ltd & Madinah Enterprises Ltd (Steel Division) were added to the group. |

Haji Muhammad Saleem gave the Group the motto 'INDUSTRY, SERVICE, EDUCATION'. His vision was that whatever the Group earned from business activities, a part of it would be returned back to the community in the form of projects that would be for the social welfare of the society and particularly uplift of the underprivileged segment of the community. The group continues to serve and expand its services to humanity on a regular basis.
As the Group continued to expand it was felt that the welfare activities needed to be organized and professionally managed. Resultantly, in the early 90’s the Group was bifurcated into, two branches. All industrial projects were grouped under ‘Madinah Group of Industries’ and, all not-for-profit projects that were for the welfare of the society and uplift of the underprivileged were grouped under ‘Madinah Foundation’.
The Group continued to grow and diversify. Today, it has industrial units of Edible Oil, Sugar, Potable Water, Margarine, Detergent, Plastics, Power Generation and Steel. It is effectively playing its role and contributing towards the economic progress and prosperity of the Country. At the same time providing, directly and indirectly, livelihoods to thousands of families. |
